What Are You Really Saying When You Say ‘I Don’t Have Time’?

blog

🤍 Let’s shift perspective a little bit …

Time is a created thing.

To say ‘I don’t have time.’ is to say ‘I don’t want to.’

-Lao Tzu

You didn’t ‘not have time to grab something to eat’ when you were rushing for that event that starts in an hour.

What you didn’t have was a priority for your body, for your energy-level-maintenance, for your rhythm, for you …

If “I don’t have time” is your mantra … try out swapping in “It’s not a priority” or better yet … play with “I don’t want to”, and notice how that feels?

🤍 I’m not drinking water during the day because I don’t want to … it’s not a priority.

or

🤍 I’m not leaving the house 5 minutes earlier to lower my stress level like I said I would because I don’t want to … it’s not a priority.

Does that feel different to you? Does it sit well?

Supporting your health isn’t “one day when time allows.”

Managing your health has to be a priority if you ever want to be in a better feeling situation than you are today 🤍

It’s now, when you choose it 🤍

If you’re ready to stop letting “I don’t have time” be your m.o., share this with someone else you know who says it constantly too 🤍 Give them a little love … and maybe a shift in perspective.

I said this out loud in an Instagram reel, if hearing it might help it sink in differently? 🫶🏼
